That's exactly what I used to route out my Korean Dean ML to accommodate the larger Schaller Floyd Rose !Just got this the other day. Been going hog wild buying accessories for the Dremel.
A small engraving tool may also come in handy.
I used a powerful Ryobi router, I had use a drill to make holes in the guitar to route a pickup cavity to put a third humbucker in a Randy Rhoads/ Jackson, with a humbucker template w/ fouble dided tape, with the body clamped down on a work bench .
I also got a Dremel drill with hundreds of accessories ....those things are addictive. Soon, I am going to use the Dremel to put in Star in lays for my Ovation and my Daughters Applause guitar .
I was a cabinet maker / Installer for many years .
