All my work has been with electric guitars. Although I did fix the electronics on a Fender acoustic a few months ago.
I have a couple of Yamaha beaters that I guess I could work on. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of customization(s) I should do??

So I just ordered a woodburning kit. Seemed like the right thing to do.
Another possibility is inlay/marquetry. I just got these wood veneer pieces in today. They're about 5" x 8" each, and average 0.5mm thick.
