This is the 2019 epiphone exclusive deluxe limited run Sg Pro G 400 you don't really see this model in honey burst that often and if you do it's gone quickly.. here's mine as you see it's a high end build guitar..I paid $650.00 for it off the used market in 2022 very worth it...the specs below......
Classic 60s Era "Solid Guitar"
The G-400 Deluxe PRO is inspired by the first generation of SGs made in the 1960s at the legendary Gibson and Epiphone factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan that produced the Les Paul and the Casino. The SG model was originally intended to replace the Les Paul, which temporarily went out of production from 1961-1968. The new G-400 Deluxe PRO is constructed using the same dimensions and build techniques as vintage SGs and features a AAA Flame Maple Veneer top with a Mahogany body and neck with a comfortable 1960's SlimTaper 'D' profile and a 24.75" scale length. The Pau Ferro fingerboard has single ply binding with pearloid Trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 12" radius, and an adjustable truss rod with a 'be

Les Paul began construction on what would become the Log in 1939 after befriending Epiphone owner Epi Stathopoulo. Epi gave Les the keys to the company’s New York factory, where Les worked on the design after hours.

His somewhat crude invention consisted of a four-inch by four-inch block of pine, on which he attached a neck, bridge and pickups. He played the instrument live but people were initially bewildered by its unorthodox appearance. No matter. Les Paul had a clever response.

The luthier cut an Epiphone hollowbody in two and attached the two halves to either side of his four-by-four-inch slab. It was now essentially a through-neck construction, only with a separate neck piece. But, crucially, it looked not unlike a regular guitar. Its central pine slab also reduced feedback issues and increased sustain, while the guitar also featured a vibrato bridge patented by Doc Kauffman, the Vibrola. This is the Log as we know it.

It's fascinating to see the passion and dedication JC Curliegh brings to restoring Epiphone guitars to their rightful place. Epiphone's rich history and legacy, intertwined with iconic figures like Les Paul, indeed deserve recognition beyond being considered solely a budget brand.

Indeed Younger guitarist don't know the history of epiphone and epiphone with the legendary Les Paul.. epiphone was never meant to be a budget brand in the first place and they weren't until Norlin ruined them when they took over Gibson and it was done deliberately because epiphone buried Gibson in sales year after year...no Les Paul and Epiphone Gibson Les Paul wouldn't even exist today...2019 JC curliegh ask why is this legendary brand a budget brand..he immediately restored Epiphone back to where they should have always been many many of waited a long time for someone to restore epiphone..Les Paul at the end couldn't stand Gibson because what Norlin did to Epiphone and screwing him on his contract.. when you pick up a epiphone Les Paul your literally playing the real deal and where is all began for the solid body guitar Aka the Les Paul...

It sad to think that well known brands get ruined by newer management. It's getting more and more rampant nowadays.

Indeed I'm glad to see someone sees this...a lot of us are hoping epiphone will break from Gibson eventually and they can and take the Les Paul name they own the rights also and rightfully so considering the solid body guitar Aka Les Paul was born in the Epiphone facility in New York 1939 into 41 long before Gibson and Ted McCarty got involved with anything..many of us waited a long time for someone to restore epiphone and that came in 2019 JC Curliegh

It happens not just in guitar but virtually in everything.

Epiphone has upped their game, since 2019.
I own a 2007 Epiphone LPC and gutted the electronics, added a Wilkinson Roller bridge, a Schaller tailpiece with fine tuners, added a Dragonfire Alnico 5 Screamer( kind of like a JB) and may drop in the Ole Epi pickup (14.20k ohms) to make it a killing Metal guitar .

I'm looking for a a gutted black Epiphone LPC to drop in the same bridge/ tailpiece combo, but drop in either a Carvin M22SD or a Dimarzio Evolution at the bridge, a Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon on the neck and go with chrome pickup rings, pick guard and model it after John Sykes's iconic Les Paul.

I recently sold my 1974 Gibson LPC .... life goes on and my Epiphone LPC blew away my 74 LPC with a Dimarzio Evo and SD Screamin Demon.

It's awesome to hear about your guitar modding adventures! The upgrades and modifications you've made to your 2007 Epiphone LPC sound like they've turned it into a killer metal machine.

Today, I swapped out the Alnico 5 magnet of my bridge humbucker ( 16.90k ohms) for an Alnico 8.
Now it is more dynamic and aggressive without losing definition or headroom.

This model is a 2019 Exclusive deluxe limited run Sg Pro G 400 that last Year of the clipper ear headstock and first year Epiphone was restored back to premium brand.. look at the specs nothing cheaply done on this model it's era correct..and one of my favorites..it's a collectors Epiphone now and relatively hard to find they pop up here and there..I paid $650.00 for it and worth every cent it depends on the seller what you'll pay I've seen this model sell as high as $700.00 and as low as $500.00....Classic 60s Era "Solid Guitar"
The Pau Ferro fingerboard has single ply binding with pearloid Trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, a 12" radius, and an adjustable truss rod with a 'bell' cover.

Alnico Classic PRO Humbuckers with Coil Splitting
The G-400 Deluxe PRO is powered by Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers made with Alnico-V magnets, which produce a slightly higher output especially in the mid and highs. Each pickup has it own Volume and Tone control with full-size potentiometers along with Epiphone's rugged, all-metal, 3-way toggle pickup selector switch for long-lasting performance. Both pickups are also wired for coil-tapping. By pulling up the pickup's volume knob, the humbucker will switch become a "single-coil" pickup, allowing players an infinite variety of tones from single-coil bark to full humbucker bite.

When winding humbuckers, Epiphone utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures quiet operation free from microphonic hum. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is placed on the unit to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax. Epiphone also uses high quality ABS plastic bobbins, 1010 Cold Rolled Steel pole shoes and pole screws, the finest magnet wire available.

Solid Epiphone Hardware
The G-400 Deluxe PRO features gold hardware on the Honeyburst, Trans Blue, and Trans Red color finishes and all G-400 Deluxe PROs come with a LockTone bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for incredible sustain as well as Wilkinson Vintage Classic Machine Heads with a 18:1 turning ratio..... Epiphones were never meant to be a budget brand in the first place and they weren't until Norlin ruined them...I'm so glad to see them back and remember if not for Les Paul and Epiphone the Gibson solid body guitar Aka Les Paul guitar wouldn't even exist today a historic fact..

Why does having a new management always ruin perfectly good products.
In Gibson/Norlin case it was pure jealousy because Epiphone stomped Gibson into the dirt year after year and it's looking like the good o'l days of that has returned Epiphone once again is slapping Gibson around..
