This is a forum for musicians. There will be cussing, there will be sexual innuendos.
If you find something offensive, you have the option to ignore the poster and have their posts removed from your forum experience.
There are very few rules to using this forum. Here they are:
#1: DON’T BE A DICK!
#2: No racist, homophobic, bigoted, or sexist terms will be tolerated, including in a user name.
We will be using Wiki's list as our guide. Taboo words include but are not limited to this list: LIST OF ETHNIC SLURS
Points will be issued for each offense. At three offenses, users will be limited to posting in the MudPit for a month. Three more offenses while in the MudPit earns a ban.
#3: ONE ACCOUNT PER MEMBER: Multiple accounts are not permitted. Running "sock puppet" accounts in attempt to control the discourse, win an argument, or bully other members will be grounds for permanent banning.
#4: No affiliate/referral links, or hot linked memes/pics are permitted, unless approved by Admin. Also, no raffles or charity funding are to be sold for profit or otherwise, including GoFundMe links and others like it. Please contact an Admin about legal 501c3, c6, etc. charity raffles or any other types.
#5 No posting of X-Rated nudity/pornography - offenses will be dealt with at staff discretion.
#6: Threads and posts must be in the appropriate sections. Please NO spamming outside the appropriate sections. This also includes Profile, PM, and Tag Spamming. Moderators will move or delete it, and issue warning points. If there is no appropriate section for your thread or post that is unrelated to guitars or music, then more then likely it does not belong in the main forums. Please use either the Off Topic forums or the Mud Pit forums for anything unrelated.
#: NO DOXXING: You are not allowed to post anyone's personal information. We take this very seriously, and offenses may result in a permanent ban.
#8: No pictures or videos of TRUE violence against people or animals.
#9: BANNING: If you violate our guidelines here you can get banned from the forum. Sometimes without warning. There is no discussion about this. It is entirely up to the moderators and staff. If you receive an email with a warning about something you've done wrong here, be careful how you respond. If you reply with name calling and swearing you will automatically be banned
#10: WHEN CONTACTED BY A MODERATOR: Do not ever post for public discussion on our forum the statements or actions of moderators conveyed to you via Private Message or email. These communications are between you and the moderator and are not open for public discussion. To try to do so may also result in your banning from the site.
The Moderators here are volunteers that serve to make the site better by keeping things under control. It's a lousy thankless job. Many times, they take abuse from those that they contact. They are not perfect, but they are acting in the best interest of the website 100% of the time and they do not need to be second guessed by armchair mods that think they could do a better job.
#11: NO POLITICS!
TGF is a guitar themed music forum. We allowed non-music conversation to take hold, usually without question. However, politics, at least for the time being will no longer be a topic of conversation here at TGF. We want TGF to be an ESCAPE from the SJWs of the world on both sides. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We ARE NOT here to be your sounding board.
